华工出国留学预备简介

华南理工大学出国留学预备学院是华南理工大学直属办学单位，负责承办出国留学培训基地项目，出国留学项目面向意向出国留学的学生进行招生。项目提供定向培养课程、部分本科课程及课外活动。学院依托雄厚的师资力量和广泛的全球网络，自2005年开办以来，华南理工出国留学项目得到中外社会各界广泛的认可。2012年，中国教育部同意华南理工大学成立“教育部出国留学培训与研究中心”，2017年，华南理工大学成为中国教育部直属单位中国留学服务中心的战略合作伙伴。

华南理工的出国留学项目依托其杰出师资和教育资源，为意向留学或继续海外本科学业的高中毕业生或同等学历学生提供多种国际课程。学院目前开设1+3世界学校本科，涵盖商科、工程、信息技术、建筑、艺术多种专业领域。学生圆满完成华南理工大学的课程，并满足语言和学术要求，即可前往海外留学。学生完成本科学业后，将获得海外合作院校的本科学位。

数十年来，华南理工大学的出国留学项目已向海外大学输送近千名学子，办学项目获国际各界广泛认可。

Introduction to the International Undergraduate Programs implemented by Academy for Overseas Study, SCUT

As one of the teaching departments directly under SCUT, Academy for Overseas Study (AOS) undertakes the implementation of International Undergraduate Programs (IUP). The International Undergraduate Programs (IUP) is a series of sophisticated programs designed for students who plan to study abroad. They offer customized preparatory and partial undergraduate courses and activities. Relying on the skillful faculty and extensive global networks of SCUT, the programs have been widely acclaimed by the public since their launch in 2005. In 2012, the Ministry of Education of China established the Training and Research Centre for Overseas Studies in SCUT ; in 2017, SCUT became one of the Strategic Partners of Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchange (CSCSE) under Ministry of Education of China.

Based on the outstanding faculty and educational resources of the university, the IUP offers courses for high school graduates (or students of the same educational level) who plan to start or continue undergraduate study abroad. 1+3 international undergraduate programs are currently available in the school, covering Business, Engineering, Information Technology, Architecture, Design and other majors. Students who complete the SCUT courses and meet the requirement of foreign language level and academic GPA will be offered the opportunity to study abroad. After achievement, overseas undergraduate degrees will be awarded by foreign cooperative universities.

Nowadays, Students of the 1+3 International Undergraduate Program of AOS, according to their performance, can choose the following world Top 50 universities to pursuit their higher education.

30 Students enrolled in business, science and life science program in 2020 will start their undergraduate program in the University of New South Wales, an Australian university ranked #44 in QS Global World University Rankings 2021 in Feb. 2022.

Another 30 students accepted by business and computer science program will progress onto their chosen undergraduate program in Singapore-based University of London (member institutions: London School of Economics and Political Science ranked #49 in QS Global World University Rankings 2021 and Goldsmiths) in Sept. 2021.

For decades, the IUP has successfully sent nearly 1000 students to overseas universities for higher education, and the programs have been widely recognized by the international community.
